"The Foundation is very excited to be working with Oral Health America on the third trans-Atlantic National Smile Month.
This year's campaign slogan, 'Teeth For Life', will help raise the public's awareness of the importance of good oral health. It highlights the importance of looking after your teeth and maintaining your teeth for life in order to improve the quality of your life.
New scientific evidence of systemic links between oral health and overall body health continues to mount, particularly the first documented link between oral disease and stillbirth in the States earlier this year.
Last year's successful campaign was the second to run in collaboration with Oral Health America. We look forward to working alongside our partners and thousands of event organisers in both countries in the shared goal in spreading a powerful, positive oral healthcare message across the world."
"Oral Health America is excited to be partnering the British Dental Health Foundation for our third National Smile Month campaign in 2010. Through the Foundation's support, last year's campaign enabled us to promote a positive message across the USA."
"The promotion of good dental habits will also help to prevent cavities and contribute to a lifetime of good oral health."

"Three years ago, the International Dental Health Foundation attended the biggest Middle East dental conference and trade show at AEEDC in Dubai. Shortly afterwards, the Foundation exhibited at FDI, which was staged at the same location in Dubai.
Following a series of meetings and conversations with visiting members of the profession from all over the Middle East, a need and demand for campaign activity in the Middle East became clear. UAE was, and remains, the business hub for the whole Middle East region.
During 2008 and 2009, an extended feasibility study commenced, involving many hours of research, analysis and investigation. The inaugural National Smile Month UAE is now planned for September 2010, and news of its launch has already attracted significant support from professional bodies, from government and from sponsors anxious to demonstrate to the (local) audience their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) credentials and extend the reach of the good oral health messages of National Smile Month.
Significant commercial support for UAE Smile Month 2010 has already been secured, and this campaign will extend National Smile to a new audience. There are strong indicators that UAE may be a pilot for other campaigns in the region in the future."
